Serving the homeless in South County
Gilroy Compassion Center
I've been homeless now for two years my wife and I I work enough hours to make good money however I cannot find a place to move into to the high cost of the first month and security deposit being needed of time of moving I just need somebody to help me look around for a place that will waive the first and last and just let me in on the first months rent and maybe a little security deposit.
We may be able to find you help with the deposit. Check with Program manager Daleen Pearse when we resume services on June 26.
Come to the center during operating hours and see if you qualify for deposit assistance.
Do you have a queen size mattress and box spring/ metal frame available?
I'm not sure about Queen size -- I believe we have a king -- come to the center during operating hours (8 a.m. - noon) to find out.
My family is being forced to move, yet we do not make enough money to cover the deposit and first month rent (1400 total). Do you have a program for housing assistance?
We can see if you qualify for deposit assistance. Go down to the center (or call (408) 763-7120) and make an appointment to speak with a case manager.
I'm about to make another delivery of donations. With your new location, I'm wondering if the things you accept has changed at all. Last few times I went you guys wanted anything and everything. Does that still apply or are you more selective now?
